Dior Arles 2017

July 3rd – September 24th 2017

The House of Dior is delighted to support the LUMA Foundation’s Photography archive programme, which this year honours the renowned American photographer Annie Leibovitz during the International Rencontres de la Photographie.

The House of avenue Montaigne celebrates its participation by supporting a retrospective entitled Annie Leibovitz: the early years 1970-1983 / Archive Project #1, presenting 8,000 black and white archive images from the photographer’s legendary New York in the 1970s series.

For the first time in Arles, The House of Dior open a space within the “Galerie du Cloître,” for the “Dior, The Art of Color” exhibition, a surprising chromatic journey dedicated to Dior’s passion for colour.

The exceptional expressionist beauty of the Serge Lutens’s exquisite films sit alongside the sensual and phantasmagorical aesthetic of Tyen, as well as colour tribute-images born from the collaboration of Richard Burbridge and Peter Philips, the actual Creative and Image Director for Dior Make-up.
