Maria Boyle and her experienced team bring specialist expertise across luxury brands, health and beauty, publishing, and female-led businesses — sectors where reputation isn’t just important, it’s everything

With over two decades of high-level counsel and hands-on delivery, Maria brings the rigour of big-agency experience — she was formerly Director and Head of Media at Hill & Knowlton — combined with the personal attention and accountability that only a boutique practice can offer.

Clients come to MB Communications when they want the best. They stay because they get it.

“Enthusiastic, hard working, down to earth and extremely approachable, Maria thinks as fast as she talks (and that’s saying something!).”

Before founding MB Communications, Maria was Director and Head of Media at Hill & Knowlton, one of the UK’s largest PR agencies, where she led high-profile campaigns for British Airways, Vodafone, Boots, Kellogg’s, Lego and Britvic. That formation at the top of the industry is the foundation everything she does is built on.

Earlier in her career, Maria ran the City of Westminster’s Press and PR department, one of the busiest in the UK, managing communications across local government, MPs, City businesses, Government departments and the Royal household. It’s where she learned to operate under pressure, at pace, with no margin for error.

What sets Maria apart is her media relationships. Built over 25 years and maintained with genuine care, her connections with leading editors, senior journalists and broadcasters are among the strongest in the industry — and they translate directly into results that other consultancies simply can’t replicate.

The industry has taken note. Maria is a member of the ‘Women in Journalism’ committee, sitting alongside media CEOs and the UK’s top editors. She was named a Luxury Woman to Watch by Luxury Daily, identified by PR Week as one of the top three independent PR consultants in the UK, and recognised by the Institute of Public Relations as one of the top seven young PRs in the country.

Only the best

“It’s not often that you find someone who not only understands a news angle but delivers on their promises in the PR world, and Maria Boyle consistently does both – often going above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that a project is a success.”
